Standard delivery window is 10 minutes to 2 hours after payment confirmation. During high-traffic events (Fleet Week, IAE), this may extend to 12 hours. If your asset has not arrived within 24 hours, please dispatch a support request.

Can I receive a ship without a Star Citizen account?
No. You must have an active RSI account to claim a gift. If you don't have one, please create it at
robertsspaceindustries.com before clicking the claim link. Pro tip: Use a referral code during sign-up for 5,000 extra UEC.What is a "Claim Link" and how do I use it?
A Claim Link is a unique URL generated by the RSI system. When clicked, it binds the ship to the currently logged-in RSI account in your browser. IMPORTANT: Ensure you are logged into the correct account before clicking, as gifting is a one-time process and cannot be reversed by us once claimed.
Why can't I see the "Gift" button on my ship?
RSI policy states that assets purchased with any amount of Store Credit are account-bound and non-giftable. Only "Warbond" or cash-purchased items can be gifted. Additionally, there is a 30-day gifting cooldown on new RSI accounts.
The 24-hour Gifting Cooldown Rule
Once an item is gifted and claimed, it becomes account-bound. If you melt it and buy it back, you must wait 24 hours before the system allows you to gift it again. This is a hard limit set by RSI's backend to prevent rapid asset cycling.
Claim Link Expiration Policy
Claim Links do not have a hard expiration date. However, we recommend claiming your asset within 7 days of delivery. If a link becomes invalid, it is usually because the sender (us) cancelled the gift to re-send or fix a typo. In such cases, a new link will be provided.
Shipping to a different email address
RSI gifts are sent to the email provided in your Shopify order. However, the Claim Link is account-independent. You can click it while logged into ANY RSI account to bind the item. You do NOT need to use the same email for both Shopify and RSI.
What is a Hangar Log?
The Hangar Log is a ledger on your RSI account (under
My Hangar -> Hangar Log) that records all asset arrivals, removals, and transfers. This is your primary receipt for any gifted item from ORONST ORBITAL."Gifted" vs "Claimed" status explained
Gifted: The item has been sent by us but not yet accepted by you. It can still be cancelled by the sender.
Claimed: The item has been bound to your account. It is now your property and can no longer be moved without the standard 30-day cooldown and gifting eligibility.
Claimed: The item has been bound to your account. It is now your property and can no longer be moved without the standard 30-day cooldown and gifting eligibility.
How to find your RSI Handle
Your RSI Handle is your unique public name (not your login ID). You can find it in your
Account -> Profile settings on the RSI website. We need this for certain manual transfers or verification.30-day Gifting Limit on new accounts
If your RSI account is less than 30 days old, the system may prevent you from gifting items away. However, you can always receive gifts regardless of your account age.
Daily Gifting Value Limits ($1,000/day)
RSI limits each account to gifting a total of $1,000 USD in asset value per 24-hour period. If you purchase a high-value ship (like an Idris or Kraken), we may need to coordinate delivery over multiple days.
Buying for a friend: Security Check
If you are purchasing a ship to be delivered to a friend's email, please state this in the order notes. We may perform a quick security verification to prevent unauthorized fleet transfers.
Physical vs Virtual goods delivery
ORONST ORBITAL primarily deals in Virtual Assets delivered via RSI's digital gifting system. Physical merchandise (if offered) will have separate shipping tracking numbers and delivery windows.
Pre-order Ship Delivery (Concept ships)
If you purchase a ship that is currently in "Concept" (e.g., Polaris, Galaxy), you will receive the Pledge in your hangar immediately. You will also receive a "Loaner Ship" (e.g., Hammerhead) to use in-game until the concept ship is Flight Ready.
Why can't I gift my starter pack?
Most starter packs bought with Store Credit or during certain promotions are account-bound. Only packs bought with 100% fresh cash (Warbond) or those explicitly marked as giftable in your hangar can be transferred.
Troubleshooting "Invalid Claim Link"
This error usually occurs if: 1. The gift was already claimed by another tab. 2. The link was truncated in your email. 3. RSI's backend is under maintenance. Try clearing your browser cache and clicking the link again.
Account Binding Logic (Browser Cookies)
RSI uses browser cookies to identify your account. CRITICAL: Before clicking a Claim Link, go to
robertsspaceindustries.com and ensure the correct account is shown in the top right corner.Re-sending a lost gift link
If you deleted your delivery email, don't worry. Dispatch a support ticket with your Shopify Order #, and we will verify your identity and re-issue the link to your registered email.
[COMM-LINK] HULL POLICY PROTOCOLS
What is LTI (Lifetime Insurance)?
LTI is a special insurance tier that covers your ship's base hull indefinitely. It ensures you will never lose your ship due to expiration of insurance policies in the final game. It is a highly sought-after status for capital ships and rare collectors' items.
How does LTI carry over during a CCU upgrade?
LTI is persistent. If your starting ship (the "base") has LTI, any ship you upgrade it to via Cross-Chassis Upgrade (CCU) will inherit that LTI. This is why "LTI Tokens" (cheap ships with LTI) are the foundation of high-value fleet building.
Standard Insurance vs. LTI: Does it matter?
In the current Alpha, insurance is not fully implemented and all ships are replaced for free. In the final game, LTI saves you the recurring cost of hull insurance premiums. For most players, 120-month (IAE) insurance is functionally equivalent to LTI, but LTI remains the gold standard for resale value.
Can I add LTI to an existing ship?
No. You cannot "apply" LTI to a ship that doesn't have it. The only way to get LTI on a specific ship is to either buy it as an Original Concept or upgrade from a base ship that already possesses LTI.
Is insurance lost if my ship is destroyed?
No. Insurance (LTI or Standard) allows you to file a claim to replace your ship. You only "lose" a ship if you fly it with an expired standard policy in the final game. As long as the policy is active, your hull is protected.
LTI Persistence in CCUs (Deep Dive)
When you apply an upgrade, the system only changes the Ship Model. Attributes like Insurance, Hangar Decorations, and Flair are retained from the original base pledge. Always start your chain with an LTI-enabled vehicle.
Insurance on Ground Vehicles vs Ships
The insurance system is the same for both ships and ground vehicles (Rovers, Tanks, Hoverbikes). An LTI-enabled hoverbike is often the cheapest way to "token" LTI into a massive capital ship like the Kraken.
120-Month IAE Insurance value
During the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE), ships are sold with 120 months (10 years) of insurance. In a live game environment, 10 years of coverage is effectively equivalent to LTI for most players' careers.
Upgrading Standard Insurance to LTI (Impossible)
If your base ship has 6 months of insurance, applying a CCU will NOT upgrade it to LTI. The insurance level is fixed at the moment the base package is created. The only exception is certain rare "Warbond" CCUs that explicitly state "Includes LTI."
Insurance for Concierge rewards
Ships earned through Concierge (Chairman's Club) milestones (like the gold-tinted 600i or F8C) automatically come with LTI and cannot be melted or gifted. They are permanent fixtures of your account.
Insurance on Paints and Skins
Paints and skins do not have their own insurance. They are cosmetic items that stay in your account. If your ship is destroyed, you simply re-apply the paint to the new hull provided by your insurance claim.
"Standard" 3-month or 6-month policies
These are basic policies provided with most starter packs. In the final game, these will require periodic UEC payments to renew. Failure to renew will mean flying "uninsured," which carries high financial risk.
Why RSI says LTI is "Minor"
RSI developers have stated that hull insurance premiums will be a minor credit sink in the final game. However, for large capital ships (Idris, Javelin), these "minor" costs could be substantial, making LTI a valuable convenience.
Insurance for Modular Ships (Endeavor/Galaxy)
LTI on a modular ship covers the Main Hull. Specific modules (like the Science Pod or Hangar Module) may require separate insurance policies if they are purchased as standalone items.
Insurance and Ship Theft in-game
If your ship is stolen by a pirate, your insurance still covers you. You file a claim, pay the deductible, and get a new hull. The pirate cannot "own" your ship legally and will face Advocacy pursuit in high-sec space.
Insurance and Piracy (Advocacy Rules)
Engaging in illegal activities may void certain high-tier insurance perks or increase your deductibles. Standard hull insurance (including LTI) is expected to remain functional even for outlaws, though claim times may be longer in lawless systems.
Stacking Insurance (LTI + 120m)
If you apply an upgrade that includes its own insurance (e.g., a "Warbond" CCU with 10 years insurance) to a base ship that has LTI, the highest tier wins. In this case, LTI remains the active policy as it is the "highest" possible duration.
Insurance for the "Original Owner"
Insurance is bound to the asset, not the person. If you buy a ship from ORONST ORBITAL, the LTI remains fully functional and valid on your account forever. Insurance status is never "lost" during a transfer.
Does LTI cover weapons and components?
LTI primarily covers the Standard Hull and Factory Components. Upgraded grade-A military components or rare weapons may require additional "Component Insurance" policies in the final game to be fully protected.
Insurance and the "Claim" timer in-game
When you file an insurance claim, there is a waiting period based on the size of the ship. LTI does not remove this timer. You can pay an "expedite fee" (in-game UEC) to speed up the delivery of your replacement ship.
[COMM-LINK] UEE ECONOMIC GUIDELINES
What is a CCU (Cross-Chassis Upgrade)?
A CCU is a token that allows you to upgrade a ship to a more expensive model. You only pay the price difference between the two ships. This allows you to build "CCU Chains" to acquire capital ships at a significant discount.
What is "Melting" and how does it work?
"Melting" is the process of exchanging a ship or package for Store Credit. You receive the exact amount of cash you originally spent. This credit can then be used to purchase other items from the RSI store (except Warbond items).
Buyback Pledges: How to use a Buyback Token.
If you melt a ship, it goes into your Buyback Queue. You can rebuy it using cash at any time, or use a "Buyback Token" (distributed quarterly) to rebuy it using Store Credit. This is useful for retrieving rare concepts you previously melted.
The "Warbond" Difference: New cash vs. Store Credit.
Warbond items are discounted versions of ships that can only be purchased with fresh cash (no Store Credit allowed). Buying Warbond CCUs at each step of an upgrade chain is the primary way to stack discounts.
CCU Chains: How to save up to 40% on ships.
By chaining multiple Warbond CCU discounts over time (especially during major events like IAE), you can acquire a ship for much less than its current melt value. For example, a $750 Polaris can often be chained for under $450 if you are patient.
Warbond CCU Strategy
The goal is to buy "Warbond Upgrades" that cost $5-$10 but offer a $20-$50 "value jump" due to their discount. By stacking 10-15 of these jumps, you can drastically reduce the total cost of a capital ship.
Price increases and CCU value (The "Savings")
When a ship's price increases (e.g., when it becomes "Flight Ready"), any CCU you hold for that ship increases in value. The upgrade path becomes cheaper because you locked in the old, lower price.
Concept Price vs Flight-Ready Price
Ships are cheapest when first announced ("Concept"). As they move through development and eventually become flyable ("Flight Ready"), the price typically increases by 15-30%. Buying early is the best investment.
How to melt a ship (Step-by-step)
1. Log into RSI. 2. Go to
My Hangar. 3. Click the arrow on your ship pledge. 4. Click the "Exchange" button. 5. Enter your password. Your account will be immediately credited with the melt value.Buying back a limited-time ship
Limited ships (like the Phoenix or 890) can be bought back even when they are not available in the store, provided you previously owned and melted them. This is a key way to "store" rare ships for later use.
Tax and Store Credit (VAT/GST)
RSI does not charge tax on purchases made with Store Credit. Tax is only paid on the "fresh cash" portion of a transaction. This makes using credits a tax-efficient way to shuffle your fleet.
The "Giftable" flag on Pledge Store
Before checkout, ensure you aren't using a "Store Credit" coupon if you intend for the item to be giftable. Items bought with any percentage of credit are immediately account-bound. Warbond = Giftable.
Subscriber Store items and Melting
Items bought from the Subscriber-only store (like rare armor sets or ship flair) can be melted for credit. However, they may not always be available for buyback if the item was a limited-time promotional reward.
Chairman's Club perks and discounts
Concierge members (spent >$1,000) get access to exclusive high-value packs (like the Legatus Pack) which offer significant bulk discounts compared to buying ships individually. They also get specialized CCU options.
Coupons and Discount codes from RSI
Annual subscribers receive a 10% or 20% discount coupon after 12 months. These coupons have a maximum discount cap (usually $50 or $100) and are best used for mid-tier ships or large merchandise orders.
The $0 CCU (Historical Context)
In the past, RSI allowed $0 upgrades between ships of equal value. This was phased out to prevent market manipulation. All current CCUs must have a minimum cash value difference.
Ship Upgrades vs Ship Packages
A Ship Upgrade (CCU) only changes the ship. A Ship Package (Starter Pack) includes the game access ("Star Citizen Digital Download"). You must always have at least one package with game access to play.
Moving Store Credit between accounts
The only way to move credit is the "Donor Ship" method: 1. Buy a cheap ship (e.g., Aurora) with cash. 2. Use your Store Credit to upgrade it to a high-value ship (e.g., Mole). 3. Gift the upgraded ship to the other account. The recipient can then melt it for credit.
Value of "Rare" Concept ships
Original Concept ships (bought when first announced) often come with unique posters, models, and LTI. These are highly valued on the grey market and typically sell for much more than their original "melt" value.
The "Buyback Token" Schedule
RSI issues one Buyback Token per quarter (January, April, July, October). These do not stack; if you don't use it, you lose it when the next one is issued. Concierge members sometimes receive two tokens.
[COMM-LINK] ADVOCACY SECURITY PROTOCOLS
Is the Grey Market safe?
The Grey Market is where players trade RSI assets. While RSI does not officially support third-party trades, it is generally safe if you buy from reputable sellers like ORONST ORBITAL. We ensure all assets are sourced legally and provide a guarantee against reclamation.
Account Acquisitions & Transfers
While standard item transfers are our primary operation, ORONST ORBITAL offers a curated selection of vetted RSI Accounts. We understand the concerns regarding account security; therefore, every account sold through our dispatch center comes with an Absolute Security Guarantee. We provide full access to the original associated email and a 100% protection policy against reclamation. Acquire your dream fleet with total peace of mind.
What happens if a gift is revoked?
If an asset is reported as stolen or bought with a fraudulent credit card, RSI will revoke the gift from your hangar. IMPORTANT: This is why buying from trusted sources is critical. At ORONST, we track the history of every asset to ensure zero-risk for our clients.
How to enable 2FA on your RSI account
Go to
Account -> Security on the RSI website. We highly recommend using an Authenticator App (like Google Authenticator) rather than email 2FA to prevent unauthorized access to your fleet.Spotting a Fraudulent Listing
Be wary of prices that are "too good to be true" (e.g., an 890 Jump for $300). Always check the seller's verification status and history. Legitimate sellers will never ask you to pay via "Family & Friends" on PayPal without protection.
Original Email (OEmail) Importance
When acquiring an account, the "Original Email" is the first email ever registered with that RSI account. It is the ultimate proof of ownership. ORONST ensures that all account sales include the transfer of the OEmail to the buyer.
Security Clearance for Capital Ships
Large capital ships (Javelin, Idris-P) are limited to 1 per account and have higher security scrutiny from RSI. When we facilitate these transfers, we use "Middleman" protocols to ensure the transaction clears Advocacy (RSI) fraud detection.
PayPal Buyer Protection in SC Trades
Always use "PayPal Goods & Services" for Star Citizen trades. It provides 180 days of buyer protection. At ORONST ORBITAL, we only use G&S to ensure our clients are fully covered by international trade laws.
