Overview
Alpha 4.10.1 is now live, and with it came two things that matter to anyone holding a buyback list or a stack of store credit: the Orison Relief Support event and the new Aegis Sabre Raven EX. The relief campaign runs through October 7 and asks players to help rebuild Orison through combat, salvage, crafting, and hauling contracts, with a full "SecondWind" gear set as the completion reward. RSI also published an FAQ for the event and a Q&A for the new vehicle, both worth a read before you commit time or money.
On the development side, RSI thanked the PTU testers who pushed 4.10.1 to Live and the pilots who participated in the Time-to-Kill Balance Test Tech-Preview. Alpha 4.10.2 is heading into Evocati testing shortly, with wider PTU waves to follow. Pirate Week 2026 is still running, including the Most Wanted contest and a "doubloon" treasure hunt whose final clue is hidden in the comm-link itself.
The bigger structural news is the Game Library system. RSI has confirmed that changes to pledge gifting and game access take effect October 1, 2026, with an FAQ now published. Players get a window through November 1 to select their preferred pledge for the new system. Read that FAQ carefully — this is the item on this list with the longest shadow over the secondary market.
Trader's Analysis
Let's start with the Sabre Raven EX, because that's what everyone is messaging us about. A new Aegis hull with a limited promotional feel is classic CCU-chain fuel. Historically, ships in this bracket land with a warbond price meaningfully below the standard credit price, and that spread is where the value lives. If the Raven EX follows the usual pattern, the smart play is a warbond CCU into the hull early, then chaining upgrades outward from it rather than buying it outright at credit price. Melt value on a warbond entry is typically lower than what you paid, so treat the Raven EX as a stepping stone, not a savings account. If you're buying purely to flip, wait for the first wave of undercutters roughly two to three weeks after the event ends — that's when grey market listings usually bottom out before drifting back up once the hull leaves the store.
Do not sleep on the SecondWind gear set. Event-exclusive cosmetics tied to a dated campaign have a habit of holding value better than the ships themselves, because supply is capped by how many people actually finished the grind before October 7. Account-bound items can't be traded directly, but accounts that carry completed event sets command a premium on the secondary market. If you're already playing the event, finish it. The marginal hour is worth more than the average hour.
Now the part that actually matters: the Game Library changes going live October 1, with the pledge selection window closing November 1. Any shift to how pledges and game access are structured affects gifting liquidity, and gifting liquidity is the backbone of grey market pricing. If gifting gets tighter, expect spreads to widen on everything — meaning higher ask prices and slower fills. If you have pending trades, gift transfers, or buyback plans sitting in a queue, clear them before the end of September rather than testing the new system with real money on the line.
Our Take
Our position is simple: this is a month to be liquid, not sentimental. The Raven EX is a fine chain anchor if you get in at warbond and out at the right time, but it is not a hold. The SecondWind set is a hold if you can complete it. And the Game Library transition is a deadline, not a headline — treat September 30 as your cutoff for any transaction that depends on the old gifting rules.
We're also watching 4.10.2 Evocati chatter closely. Time-to-kill adjustments have historically moved demand between combat hulls faster than any ship sale, and the Tech-Preview feedback loop suggests more balance shifts are coming. If your portfolio is heavy in one combat meta, this is a reasonable moment to diversify before the next patch notes land.
