Refund policy
Due to the nature of the Star Citizen Gifting System only allowing an item to be Gifted ONE(1) time and then binding that item to the Buyers account, we accept ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON UNLESS WE ARE ABLE TO CONFIRM A FAILED DELIVERY ON OUR END and successfully cancel the gift link before it’s claimed by the buyer.
Non-Refundable Items
Digital items are non-refundable once claimed unless it is proven that delivery failed or the item was not as described due to our error. This policy aligns with EU consumer rights regulations for digital content.
Resolution of In-Game Issues
For digital goods with in-game functionality, usability issues caused by platform bugs or development changes are not grounds for refunds. Customers must engage with the game developer to resolve these issues.
Process for Returns
Customers requesting refunds must cooperate with reasonable instructions to return or re-gift the item through the platform’s gifting system. Failure to comply may result in the denial of a refund.
Once an Item has been claimed, it leaves our digital inventory permanently and we will no longer have any control over that item. At the point of a BUYER clicking and/or claiming a gift link, it is the BUYERS responsibility to contact Cloud Imperium Games to sort any account or gifting issues if further issues arise.
We reserve the right to cancel any order for any reason, including sudden price changes from CIG.
If any attempts to deliver a BUYERS digital item fails or cannot be completed for any reason, we reserve the right to contact the BUYER to obtain updated information. If at that point a delivery still cannot be made due to other or outside unforeseen circumstances, the transaction will be canceled, the gift link null and void, and the cost of the transaction will be returned to the BUYER after AND ONLY AFTER we have re-obtained our items from the Star Citizen Gifting System.
If the cancellation of the order is requested by the buyer and the transaction has been completed via PayPal, PayPal fees won't be refunded. This is due to a recent change in PayPal policy where they decided to no longer refund their fees.
If cancellation is requested by the buyer and we accept it, we will charge a 15% restocking fee which will be subtracted from the refunded amount.
Please note, when assets such as ships and vehicles are labeled as 'CCU'ed,' this signifies that they have been assembled utilizing discounted Warbond upgrades. Consequently, their 'melt' value - the equivalent number of RSI credits you could receive in an exchange - will be less than the current retail price.
It is important to understand, however, that this does not impact the item's potential upgrade value. Indeed, the value for upgrading always corresponds to the full retail value of the item in the RSI store. Thus, the item may be upgraded as if it maintains its full retail value.
Should you opt to exchange the item for RSI credits, be aware that the received amount will be less than the retail value due to the initial discounted purchase. We won't approve refund requests based on the melt value of CCU'ed items being less than the retail price. The CCU'ed ships and vehicles we offer are intended for retention or further upgrades, not for exchange into RSI credits. Any decision to do so is undertaken at the buyer's risk.
Not all of the ships and vehicles that we sell are flyable right away and some are in active development. In that case you will receive a loaner ship or vehicle until the ship/vehicle is added to the game by CIG (Cloud Imperium Games - the developer of Star Citizen). We expect all buyers to check if the item is flyable before purchasing it.
Oronst is not responsible for any mistakes the BUYER may make during the purchase process. Any attempts of fraud will result in the BUYERS Oronst Account, RSI Account, and PayPal Account being reported and banned for fraudulent activity using our proof of delivery systems, and will be reported to the proper authorities.
